Designer's Bookshelf is a book review blog dedicated to the best design books for Graphic Designers. This mark uses the letter "B" from "Bookshelf", and also represents two books stacked on their side.
As for the teal colour, it was chosen primarily to be "modern" and "appeal to the audience" ...of designers, a fussy bunch! I had some options using a burnt orange and olive too but they felt a little too "vintage" in comparison.

Hey Sean, thanks! It was difficult not to be very cliché when it came to a mark for a book-related business. I feel I delivered something new which is great!
