I know, I know, but I could not resist it.
I think the grid used in the icons is good, but it can take a better look.
You can download the icon and the grid for free (.Ai file) from the attachment. All vector.

Exactly how it should look!
I like it, but icons are not isolated, they need to be tested in a realistic environment, and that environment needs to look good also, I mean, this icon could work perfectly in many situations, but if you set it up into an UI that is not right, the icon itself can do nothing.
Anyway I like it, I think if Apple is going to embrace the flat design, needs to get rid of all the gradients that simply doesn't work well without shadows, shines and textures...
Nice execution, man.
@Raul I totally agree with that.
It's great, that's it!
@Máximo Gavete looking good mate :)
this is how it should look like.
This is the best one I've seen yet.
this works for me!
Really dig this. Great work and thanks for sharing.

Just figured I'd play a little. Not entirely happy about the new iOS7 direction. So I played.

I think the basic premise of Safari = compass could have been revisited in this new release. Maybe something beyond compass and contemporary to denote 'safari'
I'm glad everyone else hates the new safari icon too. This is an improvement for sure.
I agree, This is the one icon that I hated the most. This is how it should have looked. There is a need for a lot of refinement in the design iOS 7, overall iOS 7 looks unfinished.
@Narayan Babu Agree! This is only halfway. I think it need to think beyond the pictograms. In "camera app" they have replaced the button with a camera pictogram for just a circle. I think this is the right way. Maybe they replace the icon app in iOS 8 ;)
If they are keeping the compass, this is how it should be done!
Awesome! Dear Apple listen to this man! Please :D
This is how the grid should have been applied. Awesome job! :)

Just for fun making experiments with iOS 7 flat design icons.
Nice one man. :) Love it.
I wish this is how it actually looked.
Wish I could switch Apple's version for this one when I update.
