First revision of the branding I'm working on for a small side project.
I'm not quite happy with the way "The" and "Company" sit in the typeset but the font (Eccentric Std) seems perfect for the brand, with that French makeup vibe.
I also want to do more with the colour. The pastels work quite well and the client like the tone but it seems to be missing something.
Agree with both of you. The "the" and "company" seem lost and abandoned in the logo.
Would be idea to lose them. If not, can they be centered rather than being aligned left & right respectively?
I also agree the typeface suits the brand!
Lastly, as much as I like those lips - I'm not sure they're in tune with the classic typeface. The lips appear younger and looks geared towareds a different demographic as opposed to the type.
The client seems adamant about keeping "The" and "Company" in the logo so I may have to try some alternative approaches to their positioning. I like Anthony's idea of them being centred so may give that a try.
As for the difference in style between the young lips and classy French typeface, I see what you're saying. The products are for all demographics though so mixing the two may work.

Would the client allow "The" and "Company" to be removed from the logo, so you'd just have "Big Pout Cosmetics"?

I'll rebound some alternatives later.
