Looks good! I'd make an extra visual connection between the username and the fly-out menu. Also I'm not sure if it needs to be this transparent. I'd make it slightly more opaque for readability.

I may remove the bottom rounded corners for a little bit of extra clarity with regards to what it's "attached" to (รก la OS X menu bar menus).
