My contribution to The Everywhere Project. I'm still kind of unsure about the color palette. If you could look at the attachement and give me some feedback, I'd really appreciate it.

I think the red version with the striping of the blue one above it would be pretty cool. The red seems to make sense to me because of the Astros.
For me the 1st one (on top) it's the winner Brandon.
Blue & Orange - that simple!
Bottom line, 2nd one. But i think that's the same as the upload.
I like the striped ones too. But also quite like the first one with the navy background / orange border.
I'm diggin the striped ones man, especially the red and orange. It reminds me of the throwback astros.
I prefer the 4th one - but that's probably some subconscious 70's Houston Oiler love. Very nice work.
@Taylor Goad I really liked that one too. It's a Houston Rockets color palette. This should be an easier decision.
@Steve Glad the colors are coming through for everyone. I wasn't sure how the sports references would fair in the Dribbble community.
@bert christopher Man, I wasn't sure if anyone would catch that! The oil derrick is actually a play on the old Oilers logo.
I do a lot of baseball branding work, and I have one particular client whose pet peeve is when the lacing on the ball in a baseball logo is not done the way that it actually works. One side should be going down, while the other side goes up (doesn't matter which side goes which way, as long as they are in opposite directions).
Looking good. I'd vote top left, or the black/gold/red you're using in the original shot.
I like the red striped one...but how about having the stripes mimic the stripes on the old Tequila Sunrise Astros uniforms?

@Steve Shanabruch Those colors are sampled from that uniform.
I like the flat, non-striped ones! Dig the black and red and the navy/orange stripes as far as color. Overall really great, dig it!
I think my eyes were wanting to see a charcoal gray + light burnt orange color combo. Amazing work!
Perhaps it was my first impression, but I'm leaning towards the 3 darker versions. The elements inside the main shape communicate a lot so I'd fear that a vibrant color might overpower these a bit. Looks great btw.
The one in the shot for me.
I like the one in the shot with the red stripes version as a close second.
I think they all look nice. Personally I prefer the clean background without stripes (feels a little distracting from your beautiful illustration) and I like color in the sky. The black feels a little dead to me. The navy feels better to me if you want to go that dark. Great work!
Other than the rocket, the baseball is the first thing I see; this immediately makes me think Astros reference. Since their new colors this year are navy/orange, I lean toward the first on the top.
I understand the throwback stripes reference, but there is already a lot of detail and I think the stripes distract from your overall image.
Regardless of the direction you go, this is an excellent illustration for Houston! Very clever!
Top left is my favorite, but they all look really nice
Top left for sure!
