This is a screen of an iOS app I'm working on for a [freelance] client. Still a work in progress. Font's and Icons are subject to change.
Check out the real pixels!!!
Feedback is always welcome.

Hey Cat, few points:
The drop shadow is far too dark.
The glyphs don't feel like they are in a family, you know?
Some are soft, some are harsh, some chunk and some slim.
Generally the lighting seems inconsistent, the subtler being the superior.
Love the purple btw!
@Ryan Murphy Yep. Already know about the drop shadow.
In terms of the glyphs - those are subject to change as well. Just general placeholders (let me specify that in the description. Like I said this is a WIP)
The lighting - uhhh.. you want to elaborate on that because I'm not following.
Lighting, on some of the elements there is a harsh lighting, particularly the friends icon. Whilst on some other elements there is far more subtle lighting.

Great colors, maybe try 2px lines?
Other than that it looks promising :)
IMO the background seems a bit darker. Could be lighter just a tad. The green.. just seems off. Maybe its me, but it at first glance it looks teal. The light in the tab bar icons look quite differentiated. I'm not a big fan of the colors. Otherwise just try to be more consistent in certain areas of the app. I agree with @Michael Dolejš about using 2px lines. Seems like it would fit better.
I really like your spacing though. (Something I need to work on.) Well done!
@Quentin - The background is intentionally darker along with a pattern on it. What would the purpose of lightening it up?
- The green is not meant to be a solid green. I intentionally didn't make it that. All of my colors in my palette are pastel-ish.
- The lighting on the icons will be adjusted.
- The fact that you're not a fan of the colors is subjective and really does nothing regarding the feedback/what I can do to constructively fix something. However, that stinks that you don't like them lol
- Consistent where? What are you referring to?
- I considered 2px lines and am still toying. Like I said, its a WIP.
Thanks for the feedback.
@Michael Dolejš Thanks Michael!! :D Definitely am toying with the idea of 2px lines. Will see what I decide as I continue.
@Cat Smith Overall this is really nice, I love the BG color and the colours, especially the purple.
I agree with @Michael Dolejš on the 2px lines. I think that would be really nice.
Also I'd think about removing the text shadow on the buttons. and the impressed state of the following button isn't quite right, the highlight at the bottom blends in too much with the green.
The colours of the buttons are great though, don't change them.
I won't comment on the icons since you mentioned they're place holders.
Keep it up!
I agree with @Mike Busby on the text shadow on the buttons. Other than that this is hot!
@Mike Busby @Jeffrey Kam - Points taken! Thanks, fellas :)
Agree with the points here, but I would also bump down the icon/glyphs on the Nav Bar about a dozen pixels. The shadow on the button's text seems to be inconsistent with the rest of the design, and the shadows, gradients, and colors need to be unified. I would lastly tweak that background texture.
