    Boom. I think you nailed it on this one. Does the top "bow" out a bit? It gives the impression that it does and I think that makes your icon stand out much better, without making text too small. I really dig this one, best so far. Adding the darker color also contrasts better I think.

    Thanks! Yes, it does bow very slightly. I think there's too much noise over the text that doesn't QUITE appear right, but it's getting there.

    Yeah, probably a bit. If you are going to use the striped background (which is awesome btw), you might want to get rid of the noise altogether or maybe just add a slight inner shadow - something to offset it from the background. Either way, I think it's great.
