A sneak peak at an app design I'm working on. The retina display really makes it pop! Yes, I realize the "Movies" section is also displaying games - just needed both in there to see how they'd look. :)

Thanks! It's tough picking a 400x300 shot of a 960x640 app, and scaling down a bit gave it some weird anti-aliasing issues (there's a lot of 1px lines for added contrast of the shelves). This way I can show more of the interface. I'll post proper screen grab at 100% in the next few days.

I SO want a beautiful app for organizing my movie library on my iPad / iPhone (with easy synchronization). And please let me make Smart Lists like in OS X. A Smart List with all my Blu Ray movies utilizing 7.2 HD audio would be awesome :D

I'm working on an icon for this app, but I'm having a bit of a tough time. I first wanted to try the approach of summing up the UI in icon-form, which is what this is. The only thing I could see being a problem with this approach is the fact that I would have no idea what artwork to actually put on the DVD case. Would it be too cheesy and/or distracting to make my own fake movie artwork? Should I leave it blank like this to signify that it's an app based on your own media collection? Should I ditch the idea and go for a different approach for an icon?
