Quasi Display - Typeface Design

The brief for this project was a little open ended and gave me the liberty to play around and interact with letters the way I want. We had to come up with an interesting final outcome that incorporated experimentation with typography and showcased our knowledge on the topic.
I decided to develop my own typeface and work with letters like I had not before! I set the challenge of developing an Experimental Serif Typeface that is organic in nature, humanist, geometric and has a high contrast in its strokes. Quasi Display is a contemporary experimental display typeface which derives its name from the Latin words Quam and Si which means 'the representation of something in the closest way' (in this context-geometry).
