Little comment: now the texture doesn't look like real wood. It looks like something is covered with texture printed on paper. If you cut the wood, texture wont 'continue' on the other side. It should look something like this wooden cube.
Cause of this 'paper with texture' effect the image reminds of a cheap furniture a bit but not of cool wooden massive :)
Vanishing point allows you to create a simple 3D plain/wireframe that you can paste objects onto and have them automatically scale and adjust perspective.

texture is fantastic. The bird's perspective seems a little off. Have you tried using the vanishing point feature in Photoshop?
