@Jen — I know I don't worry about "text resizing" anymore. Modern browsers use page zooming, which resizes not only the text, but the images and layout as well.
Shaun, I'm not a fan of not considering the text resizing & the images not. There are folks who only zoom text, plus the content is more flexible (although text replacement is awesome).

In the actual theme, they aren't next to each other. They probably could be the same height though. Good call.

Yeah, them for what? Also, when you design like this, do you think about what will happen when text gets resized or do you lock things into images?
