Some rough ideas for a consulting company logo that I would appreciate input on... The idea is to reference the "old-time western" style but still be clean, professional and in greyscale. Will definitely need perfecting in later stages but I'm stuck wondering if any of these come across "western" enough. Thoughts?

you're a straight bad ass, @Hannah O'Neal
oh btw i bought a retina macbook pro and it's the most beautiful thing i've seen in my life.
These are rad, @Hannah O'Neal! The rope concept is definitely standing out for me and giving the most "western" vibe. For some reason the stars feel a little modern though. Have you tried a five-point or even a sherif style star? Those mountains are incredible!
Thank you for your first comment @Ryan Houk and I'm really jealous about your big purchase!! Bring it next time you come visit!?
Thank you so much for the feedback @James Hobbs I really appreciate it! I totally agree with you about the stars, something about them just doesn't feel right yet... I was trying to avoid using rope because I feel like it's overused with those badge/seal-type logos but now that you mention it, this actually is the perfect instance to use it since it is western themed. Thank you!
