very nice effect ;)
just spent about 9 minutes watching this
@brian hurst hahah please don't, otherwise you'll see the extra dark pixels. Still need some work :)
Can't wait to download it :D
like it !!!
lol, again, lovely animation, sir!
As cool as this looks, it seems to be the most unnecessary thing in an app.
Looks quite cool, and I don't entirely agree with @Daniel Keller, it can seem a bit redundant, but without the full context it's hard for us to know if it furthers a user's mental model of the application structure, or serves some other purpose.
maan, could there be at least one thing in the world you suck at?
@Juicefoozle Thanks man! you dont want to see me playing football hahah :D Btw we are painting in Nürnberg on 15-16.06, so if you got time would love to meet you :)
i was going to something similar with my shot http://dribbble.com/shots/1011733-Dropdown?list=users but didn't know the best way to get the physics done right - did you after effects with some easing? Really nice, by the way!
@Peter Main yeah man its after effects with some keyframes and easing. As you can see there are still some gaps between the folds :/
@Jelio Dimitrov - Arsek.eu oh great to know, would be a nice chance to see my old friend hombre again too. so thanks for telling me, i will absolutely try to make it to nürnberg.
@Jelio Dimitrov - Arsek.eu i'm guessing you could fix that by adding a white solid behind the layers so you almost get a bit of a highlight coming through? - also i was rotating my slices in 3d space but the camera was adding this perspective that was ruining by shot - did you have this issue?
@Peter Main I received an advice from Mark Pearce and he gave me a clue to try blending mode alpha add and it worked :))
