*Update*:City Guides, a product by National Geographic and Rally Interactive is now live in the App Store.

Another GIF sneak preview of the app we have been working on for a while. It will be submitted to the store in a matter of days. This is a sampling from stats section of the app.
** Again - it runs buttery smooth on all the devices we've tested so far (3 GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5), even though the GIF makes everything look choppy. The app will require iOS 5 of later.
** While I totally agree this section may be on the overkill side for animation, it is actually an incredibly small and buried "feature" (not actually a feature at all) in the app and doesn't serve much utility purpose compared to the rest of the app. Also the chances of a user going into this section more than once and even staying there very long because of the lack of utility is slim. Ergo, so we had some fun with it!! However, if customers get annoyed with it, we'll iterate on an update to the app. cc/ @Jon Øvrebø Dubielzyk @Haziq Mir @Diego Jiménez @Sean Taylor @Edward McIntyre @Vincent Pickering @Tyler Howarth @Ben Peck @Narayan Babu @Henry Modisett @Anthony Fonte @Steve Mockensturm

Wow! I love it!
Amazing stuff, yet again
Really nice. Isn't it a bit too much, though? Each move triggers data animation?
@Thibaut Ninove It might be - we are pushing the boundaries in this section a bit. However, we'll likely launch it this way, and if customers complain... we'll look into toning it down :)
congrats, stunning animation !
Insanely awesome! Very smooth, easy to follow IMO.
Dayum I love these animations.
that is so hyper!
sons of a b*tch, it's awesome
Amazing stuff - Is this recorded directly from the app simulator?
i love it !
How do you to animate your mockups?
@Savman yes indeed!
@Stv Goyr Thanks! I use after effects, but this GIF recorded directly from the developed app in the app simulator!
it's an amazing work. Congrats :)
Holy mother of pixels! Gorgeous!
@Rally Interactive (via Ben Cline) It's brilliant! But resetting the numbers to zero on such slight moves might not be a great idea, although the animation looks visually stunning. I wonder how CPU/RAM friendly this app would be. Amazing work nevertheless!
Although it looks nice, I think the animation on every stat may be a bit too much.
A bit... too much. I just wanna see the damn temperature!
Too much motion there for me, just once when is launched should be enough.
I love it. However, I think the motion should happen the first time it loads, not every time the content appears on the screen.
I agree, its beautiful. I love the style, the navigation, but way too much motion going on.
You're a true craftsman @Rally Interactive (via Ben Cline)
