I don't want to bore you with yet another long comment. Here's what's happening. I just pushed my portfolio site live, as in 3 minutes ago.

    Quick facts:

    My website is:
    • retina ready
    • responsive
    • actually has my work on it this time
    • built on Expression Engine
    • using last.fm API to pull the current song I'm listening real-time

I would like to thank Kevin Thompson for his incredible work on the implementation and coping with my annoyance :)

Alright, less talk, more action. Go check out kerem.co and lemme know what you think.

    Congrats, looks great!

I think the refresh-icon could spin 360 degrees clock-wise after you clicked it. (or, at least some animation)

Love the design and colour palette. Looks fantastic on rMBP. I really enjoy the transparent header bar with 100% width background, until you scroll - especially on the contact page with the map behind.

My only design critique is on your profile page, at least at my 13 Macbook screen size, it's a bit awkward reading the two columns, as I have to scroll up to continue reading the second column. I seem to *just* be hitting the two column breakpoint.

Quick technical point to take a look at: your ad.js file is throwing a javascript error, and when you click on your refresh you've got a trailing console.log, which can blow up IE when you don't have dev tools open.

I have to agree with @Nick Downie - the whole site feels a little bit too big on a 13" screen. I have to scroll a lot to get an overview of the content. The two columns definitely feel awkward when you have to scroll up and down. In addition to that, contrasts could be improved at some points.

At the moment, I'm a bit overwhelmed by all the big element, takes me quite some time to figure out what everything is. It's quite in your face and I can't get everything at first sight.

However this might be different on a big screen. And it is definitely pretty!

Lovely work man, love the simplicity. The blog and portfolio pages are just perfect.

Not sure on the 'response time' on your contact page. Why label it as slow? http://icld.me/OFrt

I like it, awesome minimal website, nice colour palette, nice subtle effects.
I just don't like how you treated the photo in about page, it looks too sharp in the edges, small, and with a fake background.
I think a full screen images (like you did for the photo in the work section, in projects) could be much better.

I am not keen on the top bar that transforms after scrolling from large and connected to small and separate. I feel a singular middle ground is needed. Would also sit better with me if everything was just a little smaller, specifically the type.

As said the website looks way too big on small screens such as the 13" MacBook (Pro).
I find the menu bar and menu button a bit big, which is really awkward especially on the mobile version of the site.
Hope it will help to make your site even better.

the arrow in the reload button looks off centered, also the animation jumps sometimes and the reload button is cutted at this moment. The text is too big, if i have a look at the profile page my whole screen (imac) is full of big words, i dont want to read it like that.

Not bad, not sure about the elements at the bottom they seem some how scattered. Also when first refreshing the text it jumps quite a bit.

    Love the site @Kerem Suer!

You might want to look at the connect page between 800px-1100px. Your right column's text and icons begin to overlap. Also your response time text and the send button are having the same problem. #responsiveHeadaches

I have to rebuild mine soon would love to have your feedback when I get it finished.

Congrats on getting the new site launched!

It's unique and clean to me. Really digging the followers stats and 'using last.fm API to pull the current song I'm listening real-time' piece. Love it man.

I really like the minimal approach!

But a couple things, I noticed that the projects landing page doesn't have all the projects you can navigate through from the project details page. Not sure if that was a conscious decision or not, but that experience seems off...

Also on the project details page, your arrows to navigate to the next or previous project are reversed. The left arrow goes to the next project and the right arrow goes to the previous project.

@Kerem Suer Congratz, the minimal approach is beautiful, there are so many details I love... :) But also I do agree with some stateents before, that it all feels so big - even on my BIG screen i have to step backward to really get the wohl picture at once. I know it might just take some time, to get used to it, but I also guess, that a possible client, does not want to get used to your portfolio before he can find the things he/she´s looking for.

Anyway, keep up the great work.

As I said on Twitter, great work. I'd remove the empty areas on the projects page, and also I'm not sure the contact area needs the darker grey box around it. I'd try another approach which isn't that hard on the eye. Again, I really like it.
