I kind of like the indicator, because it is different. Maybe it is shying away too much from the style, but maybe if you added to it like the area under it had an indention and maybe the indicator had more of a lit feel. Just talking out loud...
Neat, but honestly, how is black on dark grey a legible solution for a primary UI element? Hate to crash the party, but this isn't very usable. The text being italic doesn't help.
I think I'd space out the lefthand sections a little bit more. They're just a tad on the cramped side right now and you'll also improve your usability by Fitt's Law at the same time.
But that's some seriously sexy stuff you have going on otherwise. I wish the glowy selected indicator could stick around. That's too awesome!
I feel the breadcrumbs are too close to the navigation, its a little too much to read, and if you have a glowing icon rather than a glowing indicator, you probably don't need the breadcrumbs.
I agree with Sebastiaan that the inactive icons are difficult to see on a dimmed screen - for example when you are working in bright outside environments, or just want to save some battery while at the cafe.
Likewise, as Nick said, glowing icons would be more easily scanable on screens with high pixel density (like the new macbook airs), even if it then is more iPhone like.
I also agree with Tim that a bit more space would make the leftmost navigation a bit lighter, and more easy going.
I'm afraid Sebastiaan is also right on the italic font, but I must admit that I actually like that touch! :)
The breadcrumb in this particular screenshot also doesn't make a lot of sense, as Nick already pointed out. You basically could reduce it to the projects name.
As I'm a project manager, I dearly look forward to any new tools in that arena, so please keep going with that project! It might also explain why I'm thinking about work environments with poor visual conditions and very portable work machines, as this is a fact with most project managers I know. ;)

Thanks Luke! It's indicator for selected section... Many people say it's confusing... I think I'm gonna change it :)

I'm not a huge fan of the of the indicator either, but the rest of it is really well done.

I agree, the indicator looks weird on that UI. Other than that, the UI looks very nice to me.

Fantastic, but there is one thing bugging me...
The white arrow doesn't align with the arrow between "Project Name" and "Overview".

I like, but the dark grey and darker icons isn't very easy to read - I'd go with dark grey & lighter icons, instead.

...with lighter icons
by James Ford
It's a crude mockup, but with lighter icons...

I don't think it needs lighter icons, I think the icons should be bright, depending on the active state.

Agree with Harald here. I use Basecamp, but I am always on the look out for something else that may make my life easier.

The more I look at it the more I think the breadcrumbs need to be replaced with the project name.

I'd agree with that. Would make more sense to have the project name and then breadcrumbs.
