Table of Contents

Trying out a non-traditional table of contents for an webapp/ebook of the Expedition of Humphry Clinker.

The novel is a series of 84 letters, so closed envelopes are unread letters, blue is the one currently being read, and grayed out documents are previous letters. Hovering over an item shows the chapter number and who the letter is to.

Not sure if I like this format…but it’s kinda hard to meaningfully and intuitively show 84 chapters without forcing people to scroll a lot.

(As a side note: we need to bring back valedictions that are a part of the final sentence of the letter.)
