Early work on the desktop app for Jumpshare.

Overall looks good! Maybe give that folder icon a little shadow on the bottom and I'm not really a fan of that activity icon.
Maybe a little more breathing room for those numbers?
Not sure. Looking dizzope.
@Elliot Still working on the icons, so I'll definitely try darkening the bottom of the folder. Will be avoiding any type fo drop-shadows though. Whats your reason for disliking the activity icon? There are so many so we feel this is a unique take.
I really like this overall. A few things I'd suggest: putting a darker stroke around the music icon, only because it appears to be super light to the point where you cannot see it. Makes it look a bit different than the rest of the images that have a darker stroke around them. Also, maybe make the notification ellipse a bit smaller.
Looks great though!
@Shaun Moynihan It feels a little pointy at the extremities, maybe try just rounding them off. Makes it feel a little sharp and unfriendly. Maybe increase the max and min height of graph as well. Just a little. Finally maybe try making the pink dot a little smaller as well. It feels a little unbalanced atm. I hope that makes sense. I know it's difficult to make them stand out against so many others out there and overall you've done a great job.
@Cat Smith You really find the music icon hard to see?
@Shaun Moynihan Nope, sorry - you misunderstood. What I mean is, the stroke around the music icon is not as prominent as the stroke that appears around the other icon/images. I'm not sure if that was intentional but, it seems as though it might just be super light around the rounded edges.
@Cat Smith Ah, ok. There is currently no stroke on the grey background behind the music icons. The file type icons are something we're still working on (for when there is no image preview).
@Shaun Moynihan Gotcha! Mkay. Sorry about that then.
Love this man.
Dig the activity icon, and the pointed ends give it character.
At first glance the size of the items (icons/images) on the left look too large compared to the numbers on the right. Or maybe they're too small? It looks a little unbalanced to me right now.
I wouldn't say the activity icon is unique — the new activity indicator is Dribbble style, but that's not a bad thing. It's clear what it means and the icon looks great in my opinion.
I'd say it's a little too close to the Dropbox dropdown, especially the lowest section with the gear icon in the same place.
The font choice and progress bar are perfect.
We've taken a close look at dribbble's activity icon/indicator and feel the only similarity is the color and the actual dot (which many sites share). As for the numbers, we definitely wanted to them to appear as a secondary element.
In regards to any dropbox similarities, we'd confidently say any similarities end with the location of the gear icon (again, a logical/similar location for many apps).
Thanks for the feedback!
Top job! Looking fwd for more.
IMO few generic symbols do hve this similarity syndrome which is hard to get rid off and still appear unique. So there is no fuss I see!!!
Superb. Try a larger font?
This shot has some of the most constructive replies I've seen in recent memory on Dibbble! I'd help, but don't have the experience to add. You're in good hands, Shaun.
I love this shot!
love the count badges
