Working on some illustrations for the upcoming full site of TrappeDoor.com.

Odd color palette, but nice shapes.
Love this and the color palette. Nice work Matthew.
Diggin' the color palette and over feel Matthew! Good stuff sir.
@Chris, odd colors eh? Why do you think so?
@Phil, thanks! Jared's question would be perfect for M&C :)
@Jared I took images of concrete, blew them out and dropped the saturation, then made them patterns in photoshop to apply as layer styles. :)
The fork draws my eye very much. It's got lots of prongs that all come to a point. I feel neither good nor bad about this.
Overall, it's beautiful—shapes and colors alike.
@Matthew - Indeed! :)
This is great Matthew, can't wait to see the completed site! the textures look fantastic also!
Just personal preference, that particular mustard color just makes me cringe. Not sure why.
I think it's lovely.
The more I look at the fork the more it doesn't do it for me. Obviously this is an illustration though so my ramblings can be thrown out:
It's very unrealistic (duh, but hear me out). I don't think I've ever seen a 5 tined fork. I've definitely not seen one that goes to a point in the middle like one of those cool little finger harps. That would be hard to use I think.
Minor stuff, and overall I do like it. I love that the texture is based out of concrete!
@Philip, great comment :)
Digging the color pallet, as well. I think the okra yellow is very appetizing when paired with warm gray/brown. As always, your use of texture brings this design from good to great. (~SW)
