Too much texture?
Looking at it here, I think maybe too much texture ...

I would remove the texture from the button, a solid gray background would be more suitable.
It's looking really good overall.

I agree with Bruno. It feels like the button should have no texture as if the imprinting left the the canvas flat. Great debut and welcome to Dribbble!

@Bruno @Danny You are both right. I removed the texture from the button and reduced the texture on the background as a whole and it just looks a lot better. I appreciate your feedback!

I agree with removing the texture from the button, but this is very sharp overall. In fact, this design is way too nice for a sports-related site... it needs more ESPN. Hehe.

@Ted haha! Thanks for the kind words. This is an element for an online student newspaper/blog, and it just happened the lead story was about the Bowl games. :)
