This is what you see when you visit my personal home page.
I just started as a freelance web developer / designer and with this front page I want the world to know that I'm available for hire.

Awesome! What I wanted to ask/say for a long time is... Do you work on a personal logo or do you just don't want one? If thats not your thing, theres definetely enough logo designers who can! At a reasonable price.
don't take this personal, I just know myself how hard it is to create your own identity/logo.
@Daniel Keller Isn't his mark a heart?
I like you page but it needs some polish. The 2 columns below this main hero image are kind of odd. I'm not sure exactly the solution either, its just with all in the indentation its seems disorienting.
What about a magazine style where its full width and the quotes are wrapped by the text?
@Jonathan Shariat how is a heart saying anything about him personnally? A simple heart is too generic to be a logo, unless a logo is just a not important placeholder for you..
It's more of an icon (function), not a logo (identity).
@Daniel Keller Im not arguing that its the best or most effective identity but it is an identity nonetheless. A logo has no value, but it is something that stores identity over time. I could go one waxing philosophically but I simply wanted to point out that the heart was his choice of logo.
Thanks for your comments guys.
@Daniel Keller I started to use the heart about three or four months ago because I hadn't any good alternative to represent myself. The old logo was just a plain text "danielpuglisi.com". I liked the idea of the heart, because I really love what I do and I think the heart represents that passion in the best way. Of course this plain heart is a little bit cheap and maybe I will create a more customized heart in the future or maybe something completely different. I don't want to focus to much on my logo yet. But there is definitely room for improvement.
@Jonathan Shariat Yes, you're right, the 2 columns need some polish. I like the idea with the magazine style. Maybe I will reorganize/rewrite the text and quotations in its own and do something completely different. Anyway, thanks for the feedback :)
@Daniel Puglisi I would see a DP monogram as a good solution, your initials, somehow combine them into 1 symbol, I know many do that, but it's just classic and unique!... I think there's many heart-themed logos and many who love their job (that's not a clever argument for a logo, I also love my job.. you know), But there's only one Daniel Puglisi, so why not make it more personal and unique?
I know it's your decision, but you have to admit that makes sense what I wrote above!
@Daniel Keller Thanks for your feedback. It totally makes sense, I agree. And as I said, I'm not quite sure yet if I'm going to improve the heart or going a total different way. I already tried different variations with DP to create a monogram but haven't found a solution yet, which I really liked.
