First phase of the new Grip Creative launched today. Gradually I'll be adding a blog, more detailed portfolio, a photo blog, etc. I will be following this up with a dribbble shot and attachment that will showcase the process for this design.
Any feedback would be received with much love. Thanks for looking!
Also, props to my friend Pendar for inspiring this format of presenting websites on dribbble.

Wow, great work!
Damm ... I love this. But ...
A lot of modern web design boils down to a nice set of photos though. Your project proves that very well.
Websites full of high-res photos look fantastic (particularly yours) - but the more photos they get, the less responsive they are. I look forward to see how your layout behaves when it is only 320px wide. As far as I see now, you published only desktop version.
Looks great man.
@Maciek Butscher yes, you are totally right about the site not being responsive. I wanted to get it out, and left some things unfinished to do so.
Here is the plan to make this responsive for mobile: essentially anywhere there is an image with a block quote over it, the image will go away and the block quote will span the difference. The only image will end up being my header.
It's going to take some work to make it perfect, but it will be a fantastic mobile experience when I am done. Thank you so much for the feedback. It means a lot and is greatly appreciated!
Wow, this is really something new that I was looking for to inspire. Great work, man!
Nicely done, Josh, it came out great. I also enjoyed the John Ruskin quotes; I have been redoing my portfolio as well and will likely use this one: "When we build, let us think we build forever."
The link to the photographer in the footer isn't working
@Joel Jenkins Thanks! I fixed it.
Great personal site, Josh!
Clean design and great UX.
Awesome work, site has the great photos but to add to that, the layout is a bit different and has some different creative aspects than you normally see these days.
BTW: the say hello link doesn't do anything (just links to a #)

@Warwick Kay Thanks for the kind words of encouragement! Regarding the mail link, if you click it, it will launch your email app to send... Maybe I need to rethink that!
@Josh Tilton oh my default mail app is gmail and so it's just refreshing the page for me. Why not just do it as a mailto link rather than a onclick location.href call?
