Top part of the website I'm working on at the moment. I broke down and used a ribbon to mask the... uniqueness of the logo.

Good job downplaying the horrific logo. They're not open to changing it? Seems a shame to build what looks like a beautiful site and interface, and have that eyesore on every page.
Great use of a semi-transparent nav!
Seth: Yeah, I had that conversation with the client, but it doesn't look like a logo redesign is on the table for right now. But I contained the logo in a removable element so when they do want a new identity, I can modify the layout easily.
Nice transparency. Good work!
Thanks Julius, I duplicated the image behind the header and added a blur to it to allow the text to stand out a bit more.
Dude this is awesome.
love love this, especially the semi-transparent nav as mentioned above.
Thanks for the kind words!
Brilliant choice on the blur behind the nav. Very clever!
Gabriel: Thank you!
Nice work, the photo is a real nice too. I was going to say the photo is a 'cracker' but that has a different meaning for y'all over there ;-)
Steven: Haha, that's true. Very different meaning! But thanks! I grabbed the photo on iStock, but I think we're planning on doing some additional custom photography as well.
