Working on some navigation stuff for a client. Finally thinking I'm getting somewhere with this one.

Love this Sarah. The colors are great and flow very nicely.
Thanks, Joe! :D I've been beating my head against the wall trying to get a color palette I really like.
^ Well it definitely worked. The colors are awesome :)
Maybe it's different in a full view, but the banner seems very odd looking to me. I think it has something to do with the highlight/shadow only appearing after the fold back and how long that section is. Everything else is amazing, especially those buttons.
@Jarad - I just edited that portion of the design per your comments. I think that the "tail" end of the ribbon was extended too far. It's looking better now on my version!
Looks good Sarah, I guess my only beef would be that the banner end looks rather big?
Im a big fan of the extending sub nav outside the eluded to main body area, great way to challenge your format in web design. Thoroughly impressed with that beautiful subtlety.
I'm always curious how different designers decide on how they line up their elements. Sarah, do you have a reason as to why the right edges of the "logout", "give", "beauty" and edge of the white content area (below the ribbon) all are lined up differently?
OK forget it. I can see it now. Logout, give and the content area line up pretty damn close to the same edge. A few pixels left and right must have really thrown me off. Looks great!
Looks really nice :-) Have you tried aligning Events, Fashion, Health & Beauty bar center with green ribbon?
@Adam - it's a temporary hover state of the buttons. When shown in context of the rest of the design it makes sense! :)
I love the little tilted heart. Gorgeous detailed work, Sarah.
