Really like this. The ball itself is stunning! Especially the shading. Is that a texture map?
The one thing that stands out to me is the abrupt stop the shadow makes in the foreground. I know it wasn't made in the way I'll describe, as I assume it was done in 3D, but it looks like a horizontal motion blur.
Here's a crappy approximation I attempted.
