Senior UX/UI Designer

About This Position
This is a contract position in which you will be leading and designing the end user experience for a newly developed SaaS B2B product. We estimate 8-10 months of 20-30 hours of work a week. This will be a desktop browser application where responsiveness is important, but primary end-user use of the product will be via the desktop (ie. no mobile app). You will be collaborating with the Director and Senior Developers for initial input/direction and constructive feedback through the life of the project.
Required Skills & Prerequisites
At least 5 years of professional UX experience.
Experience designing technical, web-based applications.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Create user personas, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes to communicate design ideas.
Develop and maintain design systems to ensure consistency across all digital platforms.
Collaborate with product managers and developers to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and experience.
Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to iterate and improve designs.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in UX/UI design.
Provide a portfolio with UX (wireframes/prototypes/other UX artifacts) and visual design work.
Location
The majority of this contract work can be accomplished remotely, but will require an initial week of in-person project overview & discovery with stakeholders. There's always the potential that Venn would request additional travel throughout the duration of the project, but we would defer to your ability/availability. If you are not located within the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area, Venn will arrange & pay for travel. Position not eligible for those outside the United States.
