    @Jack Bingham the idea I'd had was that if you were swipe from left to right, much like you would usually that the lock screen would curl somewhat resembling the same type of experience when turning a page in a book or flicking a notepad page over.

    Instead of having a handle/button, pressing anywhere in the bottom left region of the screen would activate this interaction, swiping left to right in both a diagonal or horizontal direction it would start to peel away more of the screen before finally giving you a full view of your home-screen. I had thought that the interaction could also work if you were to swipe left to right anywhere on the screen which would make it a lot easier and I guess more intuitive.

    My idea is that there would be three ways of interacting with this screen. To unlock it the gesture would be to swipe left to right, to access the camera the gesture would be to swipe from bottom to top and then to read messages and answer calls these would be a simple press interaction.

    @Jack Bingham Yeah thats what I'd thought would happen if I'd selected a color with my thumb.

    Perhaps, just as an idea you could do something like this http://cl.ly/GRu9 it would allow you to swirl around to select a colour which would change the coloured ring in the center. Then when the user takes their thumb off of the control the tick fades to full opacity indicating to the user that this is now able to be saved if they want to.
