Hm. As an icon, it's great. Memorable, with fantastic details, and stands out from others.
Also, I don't know if it was you, but filetype icons are also much better and sharper.However, I, as Samo K., also thought that it is just a really nice placeholder.
Why flower?
What is the metaphor behind this?
And aren't there enough nature-inspired text editor icons for Mac OS X? (Coda's leaf, Smultron's strawberry)It will take time for me to get used to this.
