After 5 months of work, TodoMovies 2 is finally available in the App Store! You can check out more screenshots and what TodoMovies is (if you don't already) here http://www.taphive.com/todomovies/
This shot shows the movie photos gallery, a new feature in TodoMovies 2.0. Let me know what you guys think! :)
ps: This is an actual screenshot from the app itself. So...not a mockup.

@Matthew Sanders I hear a lot of people lately using the word "innovate" and vaguely discuss how something could be "better." Without any actual specifics, it's hard to imagine anything at all. Those words don't inspire anyone.
Suggesting that the interface iOS currently has is "dated" is unfortunate, and a lack of trust in the platform and the people responsible for it.
Apple doesn't cater to us. They cater to *everyone*. Because of this, they make decisions that are best for most people, not a small subset of us who are whiny.
A flat one-color icon in a row of other flat one-color icons only introduces complexity. They become more difficult to parse because shape, form, and color go away, which all serve as distinctive elements to differentiate from other icons.
Again, you say "something we haven't seen before," as if that is a possible task. No one says "hey, let's innovate!" Everyone that works on products makes something that they think is cool, and they ship it. Whether or not it is innovative is decided after the fact.
Your use of the word "harsh" is a bit "severe." Is it really harsh?
Softer gradients is a thing that's achievable. "Improved" visual treatment? Still unsure what that means because it's not descriptive.
Anyone can say that Apple should make a phone with a cool new innovative feature that makes me feel good. But the fact is that this sentence wasn't in any way valuable because it said absolutely nothing.
I urge you, and everyone, to try to be more descriptive (though not prescriptive) when giving feedback. Something we can value for it's content, not vague wishes.
Thanks for commenting. I really appreciate it.
