Logo concept for a hipster coffee roasting company looking to start selling merchandise.

The client envisioned a funky pictorial mark featuring a black cat sitting on a coffee sack. 

I created an organic illustration inspired by Théophile Steinlen's 1896 poster Tournée du Chat Noir. To give it some edge, I decided to make it resemble a blackwork tattoo.
