Monte Resegone - 1875

The "Resegone," also known as "Monte Serrada," is a mountain in the Orobie Prealps, standing 1875 meters above sea level. It is located on the border between the provinces of Bergamo and Lecco.

The name originates from the dialectal term "Resegun," meaning "big saw." This is due to its famous profile, which resembles the blade of a saw when seen from a proper distance. The most prominent peaks of the Resegone are Punta Cermenati, Punta Stoppani, Punta Manzoni, il Dente, Cima Pozzi, Pizzo Daina, and Torre di Valnegra.
