Lancy: Freelancing Gig Aggregator

Lancy: User Research & Findings

Our initial and fundamental assumption that led to the Lancy project was, notably, completely incorrect. Our user interviews that, unlike what we thought, finding a high quantity of work was not an issue for freelancers. In fact, user interviews revealed that the quantity of work available was too much to handle-- with much of it low-pay or low-quality, leading to countless hours spent sorting through bad gigs to find decent opportunities.

Thus, the user research led to a pivot in Lancy's core function; what was originally simply an aggregator of freelance positions became an in-depth filter, aggregating freelance positions from different streams in order to sort out unwanted and low-quality gigs.
